Our facilities include unique accommodation consisting of 16 separate weatherboard houses in a village-style setting, sleeping up to 270 people. Houses have either three or four bedrooms, providing bunk bed style accommodation, a lounge area, private bathroom, and toilet facilities. Each house also has its own veranda – an important space for meeting points, change areas in wet conditions or simply a space to sit and enjoy the surrounding scenery.
All guests are required to provide their own linen: most beds are single with the exception of a couple of doubles (please check at time of booking). Single fitted sheet, pillow, doona, sleeping bag, towels and tea towels are to be supplied by guests.
Guests have access to semi self-contained facilities in the houses they occupy during their stay. Houses include kitchenettes with kettle, toaster, microwave, and fridge (with the exception of cabins one and two which adjoin the self-catered kitchen). The self-cater kitchen has everything a small to medium sized booking (<100) requires to comfortably self-cater. We also have a large double BBQ area opposite cabins 15 & 16, as well as a BBQ on the back veranda of the self-cater kitchen. For larger groups (100>) we have a fully equipped commercial kitchen for hire.
Wet weather is not a problem with our large (basketball court size) indoor stadium. This is equipped with male/female shower/toilet blocks, table tennis tables and a wide range of other games and activities.
Other facilities at Licola Wilderness Village include an outdoor swimming pool (with changing rooms, toilets, and showers), chapel, fully equipped laundry and drying room, picnic tables, covered BBQ’s, and special campfire areas.
ACTIVITIES: Accommodation cost also allows you access to plenty of free activities. Including, mini-golf, in-ground trampolines, swimming pool (not heated), playground area, bouldering wall, low ropes and obstacle course (with adult supervision) – there are heaps of open spaces so bring your bats and balls, bikes and Frisbee (Frisbee golf also available).
Adventure activities: You can hire a qualified instructor for the day at a cost of $350 per instructor. Your group size will determine how many activities you can fit into your day. Our adventure activities include High Ropes, Giant Swing, Canoeing (weather dependant), Flying Fox, Leap of Faith, Archery, Rock Climbing, Raft Building and Abseiling. Please chat to us while making your booking to discuss booking an instructor.
Stadium / Main Dining Hall / Meeting Rooms / Chapel:
These areas carry additional charges for those groups not on an exclusive use booking. Please discuss with our staff when making your booking.
Babies: Please ask at the time of booking if you require a portable cot and / or highchair.
First Aid+: For guests with more serious injuries or illnesses, the nearest hospital is Heyfield, followed by Traralgon. In cases of an emergency, an ambulance can be called from the front office. While weekend guests and schools are expected to provide their own first aid, the Licola staff are fully trained and always available to assist when possible.
Full catering packages are available for groups of 40 and over – please call our office to discuss menu options.
